EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, evidence-based therapy designed to help people heal from trauma, distressing life events, and deeply held negative beliefs. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) to support the brain in processing and integrating unresolved experiences.

EMDR can be effective for a wide range of concerns, including PTSD, anxiety, grief, low self-worth, and the lingering impacts of childhood trauma. EMDR may be offered as a stand-alone therapy or integrated with other approaches as part of your broader healing process. Have any questions? Book a FREE consultation!

Common themes include: - Anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation - School pressure, social stress, or perfectionism - Identity exploration (e.g. gender, sexuality, neurodivergence, culture) - Family or relationship challenges - Trauma, grief, or difficult life experiences - Self-esteem, body image, and boundaries

Parents/guardians are welcome to be part of the process when appropriate, with the teen or young adult’s consent.
